This number calls my land line at least once a week. Since it local, i answer it and no one answers. Today i tried calling the number 206-209-2229 back and it would not go through.
Just received a call from this number. Did not answer and no message left. Caller ID said " Out of area" even though I have the same area code as the caller!
Same worms spoofing another number. The phone company service providers are the only ones that can ultimately stop these scammers from calling our homes. They choose not to because they make money from all the illegitimate calls made through their clients. The DNC has nothing to do with illegitimate calls. These are the same handful of mold spores that either want you to let them into your computer or into your house...stealing your info or casing your house and stealing you blind. I'm so ready to give up my phone service altogether, the last response from Century Link was I could block 50 numbers with their awesome program. I'm just about at my limit with my Panasonic phone system...250 numbers...in a year. Ugh.
Also called me yesterday, at which time I told them that it was illegal to call me because we are on the Do Not Call registry. I told him to remove our name from their list. Obviously they didn't, since they called again today, but this time from a different number (since we had the other one blocked.)
I marked this as a Telemarketer, but they are big fat liars and I'm sure nothing good could come out of hiring them... if they even have a real business. Anyone who lies about who they are, where they are calling from, what their business is AND ignores the law that says they can't call isn't someone I would ever let in my house.
