Called leaving a vm claiming to be the IRS, I called back like 20 times, this heavy accent guy answered and asked for my name, he gave me his badge number n case number and asked if I was aware of this case, or crime I committed, He also stated this was a recorded call n I have to answer 3 questions i need to answer if I chose to hang up he will forward the information to my local police department and They will issue a warrant for my arrest, after the first question about me ever filing for bankruptcy I yelled "catchbme outside! How bout da!" N hung up...so I'm assuming it was a prank call, well I hope it was...
vm message:time sensitive and urgent as after audit we found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your tax which you are hiding from the federal government, this needs to be rectified immediately so do return the call as soon as you receive the message
Got a call from these jokers. Didn't answer, no vm left. Called them back from a secure line. Heavily accented voice tells me something about "Fraud and Recovery how can I help you?". Definitely a scam situation based on comments above. The IRS never, ever cold calls. Calling this one a "prank" because its bogus.
