Have you ever heard back from these peopele. I too received a call from John Smith. I am now receiving calls from a Shawn Patrick doing the same thing. Just wondering? I have callled our local police department and informed them of this scam.
I am getting threating phone calls from a foreign person (India accent). Claming to be Ronald Nash. Left a message with my employee stating I was in a lot of trouble facing large lawsuit for a loan I never made. This has heppened before but different names. We careful. Got a call from them at 1:39pm today, said they were from payday loan company. Said that his company is acting like a legal council to recover the money they lent me. When I told them that I never borrowed from them, and asked for their company name, address and phone number. He told that I need to resolve this now. Told told me that if not, to meet them at the county court house in the morning. as I am a prime suspect in the criminal case. I went to my state police and file a report. I am going to forward this site to them.

Same thing, happened to me yesterday at work... called my cell phone, said he was a Ronald Nash, indian accent, said it was important that I call him back apart of a legal matter that needs to be taken care of, if I don't take care of it, I will be prosecuted under my SSN for a payday loan, blah blah and then said in the mean time until you call back, GOOD LUCK. I live in Hawaii, so when I called back, there was no answer. I called first thing this morning, got an answer, he just saidm "hello" no business answer, no professionalism, just "Hello" I hung up. I then called again, the same guy.. asked who it was and he said, "Michael St.Claire". I said I'm returning a call... and he goes, from who? I said, IDK, a Ronald... he said, Nash? I said yes. I asked what the allegations were, he said I was apart of a legal matter with a payday loan company, and in order to stop it, to take care of it with them.
Luckily, I read all these posts before I talked to him, and I go... well, I need the name of the company so I can file a police report. I need your address and need to know how you're involved?! He said, well, you take care of it with me. I go, well, Im on hold with the police department right now and oh btw, I googled your phone number and a whole bunch of posts came up with you being a scam artist? How the hell does that work?! He started talking and then all of a sudden the line cut out... go figure?! WATCH OUT PEOPLE and don't give your SSN to identify yourself either.
