I received a call from them at 8:15a.m. and totally panicked since I wasn't even fully awake. They said I was being sued and that there was a warrant out for my arrest and that I would have to appear in criminal court in Washington D.C. They said I had to go to the bank and get the money ($3070.00) or I would be arrested within 45 minutes. Not knowing what to do or think I called the local police who assured me it was a scam. Even though I told the callers that I knew they were scamming me, they tried to call me 2 more times.
Called and said we filed taxes wrong for 5 years and that the police were coming to arrest us in a hour and that they need a whole bunch of personal information
