this number comes up in a number of fraud schemes.  essentinally, they recruit you with a promise to hire you for $3,000 a month Plus 5% commission on every check you clear.  They send you checks frrom US customers - you are to cash the checks and forward them using Western Union to some forein country (usually russia) but not always.  

The checks are frauds, worthless.  But some people deposit them in their checking account, then to to western union and send the cash using their own money.  Check bounces, you are out several thousand dollars

Scammer advertising fake jobs on craigslist.  He replies with the following email:

I just got contacted from a different travel agency.  My email said the following and with it was an agreement, FAQ page, job discription and application.  Funny thing about the application though was they didn't ask for a ssn.  Not sure of what the scam is, but it seems too good to be true.  "Sovereign Luxury Holidays" seems to have a fully accrediated web site.  interesting...

I also just received the same as the above but, it was from a company called Expertec Consulting and a MartinMiller (Very generac name).  He also sent me corporate paperwork for the state of florida.  I called the state to check on this and it was false and NOT under this companies name nor did they have any info on the company.  They did have a company at the EIN number but no where near where this company says it is and nothing to do with that business.  I was advised to just trash it and be careful of scammers and others trying to steal your information.

I got the same series of emails from "Mark Wessel" of "Sovereign Luxury Holidays." I was offered 2 different positions, "Travel Coordinator" and "Voyage Controller." When responding to these emails, asking for further details, I never received a direct reply, but what seems to be a step-by-step series of emails, usually starting with "Did you get my last email? It didn't go to your spam box did it?" Obviously it didn't, and obviously your auto-bot doesn't reply to responses. Then I received the 4 documents, Job Description, FAQ File, etc. (with lots of spelling and grammar errors mind you), and here is where the scam comes in:

All the financial work and payment process will consist of the following stages:
1. Our customers make payment via bank checks:
Send to you checks, you accept checks on your home mail box
2. We inform you about transaction to you in special form with all information.
3. After you receive payments of the customer, you should exchange it for cash.
4. You must transfer 95% from the received sum, because 5% is your commission.
5. Then you should send money to out Regional Executive through transferring systems such as Western Union, Money Gram, any P2P agents or by wire transferring. Commission included in the sum.
6. Inform us about details of transfer (you must fill out our special forms)
7. Regional Executive receives money from you.

This is one of those check scams where they send you a fake check, and you overdraw your bank account to send them the cash.
