Hey what happened after you responded to the email?  Did you fill out the credit report?  Have you seen any reprocutions from them getting your social #?  I'm sorry for all of the questions but I just responded to an email from the same person.

There was a new posting on Craigslist yesterday.  I sent an email requesting location and when he emailed me back with the same info as the posting and no address, I was leary.  The name and phone number on the email was:  Josh Wallace; cell 206-338-5620;  Email address was:Josh Wallace [[email protected]]  Hope this will help someone else.

I fell for it. I filled out the credit report and everything. However, it was from a reputable credit reporting site. Is he able to get any of the information from the credit reporting place?

I fell for it too and called my bank.  They told me to call a credit union to flag my identity as having possible identity theft.  Here are the numbers and call RIGHT AWAY:

Equifax 1-800-685-1111
TransUnion 1-800-916-8800
Experian 1-888-397-3742

If you flag one account it will forward the flag to the other three credit unions.  You may also do this online, however, I did it by phone to make sure it took action immediately.  I hope everything works out for you and I usually am so smart about this stuff .... I feel like a fool for falling for it.
