SAME (no message) but also received v-mail from Bank of Am. Funny, that this is a west coast co. and the only one that I gave my CC number to recently was when I was tricked into buying what they said was an anti-virus software, but was in fact a VIRUS. Do not click on anything calling itself AntivirusXP 2008. I suspect that these scammers will keep trying. Strongly considering cancelling my current CC and having them replace.
Called back, this was Bank of America apparently there is a message and you are supposed to have a pin but I don't know who or how to obtain that. I guess I will wait for them to call back.. this is weird will call Bank of America to see if they have a record of this call and/or why this number is calling me.
Received call from 206-357-7861 with caller ID of PAR3; did not answer and caller left no message; have seen several reports on another site that this may be scammers using Bank of America name to try to get confidential info such as account number and/or PIN
At least 5 other reports regarding this number are from people working with Bank of America regarding fradulent charges to their credit cards and/or check cards
Banks will not contact you by telephone or internet to request your SSN, account numbers, or PINS. Simply hang up, then contact your bank about such calls.
