My phone # is on the DNC, therefore it is a violation of federal law for my number to be contacted. Couple of tips that might help: Be sure to get the first name of the person you are speaking with and their company ID number (they are required by law to give you this information when asked; it is not "personal information" protected under the law). Also, keep track of the date and times you receive calls from them and let them know that you are keeping a call log and you will be providing this information in your complaint to the DNC and FTC (don't ask, just tell them (in firm but pleasant tones) you will be doing this). If your phone company offers Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR), make sure it is turned on - this will prevent an "unknown" caller and/or phone number from being able to leave a message.
