Tried to acces the website - www.frontpageplacement.net - to add my name to the do not call list others had mentioned. Of course the website now comes up as "Firefox can't find the server at www.frontpageplacement.net." What a surprise! Not!
A hint to you guys (and gals) when I'm getting these calls now I'll immediately interuppt them and say .. "I'm so glad you called!" After their shock I'll then continue that I'd be HAPPY to sell them my product - which obviously they wanted since they called me! If they try to interject I won't let them and just repeat their name over and over until they pause - at which point I keep selling MY product to them. So far I have found this gets you off their list pretty quick! And who knows, I might actually make a sale on their dime! LOL!
Caller ID read "Incoming Call"
Robo call said "Please press 1 to update your Google listing..."
I just played the 3 tone disconnect tone until they hung up.
These people are driving me insane. I have requested MANY times to be taken off their list. I get at least 1 call daily. I would like to put THEM on auto dial for a change and see how they like it. :-(
The usual illegal pre-recorded message for Google placement scam. I blocked our number, called the idiots back. After another prerecorded message, I spoke with someone and asked the name of his company. He said, "Front Page Placement" or some such crap. I asked him, "THAT'S the name of your company?" He claimed it was. (Yeah, right. I'm betting the IRS doesn't have any record of a company by that name.) I asked him if he knew their message was in violation of FCC regulations and I would be reporting them. He immediately blustered, "I don't know anything about that, ma'am. Are you interested in putting your business on the front--" I told him what he can do with himself and hung up. It won't stop these scam artists from calling again and again and again but at least I got a little satisfaction.
I just received a call from this number this morning. I do not answer any incoming calls of numbers or names I do not recognize. (due to being a victim of a credit card company scam) If it is someone I know they will leave a message on the voice mail. I then look up on this site to see what everyone has said about them. I just want you all to know how grateful I am for all of your input. The only way to stop these scams is to become educated about the type of lures they use.
JERKS called my business and hung up on the answering machine. Caller I.D. said INCOMING CALL, which seems to be a dishonest attempt to get the unsuspecting to pick up. I get the same INCOMING CALL on Caller I.D. with both hang ups and robocalls about Internet placement from these numbers.
