I screen all my calls and let the answering machine pick up. I have caller ID and the caller ID reveals that the caller is from Seattle, WA and this is the number that appears. The caller did not leave a message and hung up after hearing my recorded message on my answering machine.
3/08/10 call from "CREDIT SERVICES", no message
have also gotten a call from "CREDIT SERVICES"
on 3/11/10 using 206-397-1900. I'm on do not call
(for all the good that does).
This credit card scammer is busy today. I received a call about the same time at my home in NC. Caller ID states "Credit Services". Caller claimed to be calling from the general offices of Visa and Mastercard services and wanted to help me reduce my credit card interest rates because I am such a good customer. I kept stringing him along in the hope that he would reveal some information that I could report to BBB or FTC. He kept avoiding my questions and wanted me to provide my credit card numbers and expiration date so that he could verify that I was the account holder. It's sad that gullible/desparate consumers fall for this.
