I've been getting this phone call repeatedly. Today I called them back & told them I knew the FBI wouldn't be calling me and I had done absolutely nothing for the IRS to be after me. I told him I'd researched the number & it was a scam. He hung up on me!
A robo message from "The Federal Bureau of Investigation" Officer Katherine Richardson badge #00257 regarding TAX and crime investigation at my address (which, like my name, is never mentioned). Another scam. The FBI just shows up at your house unannounced and the IRSsends certified mail. IF you EVER receive a call like this, report it and if you're afraid, contact the actual FBI and ask to speak the supposed rep from the message.
Report to IRS immediately. This person is looking at jail time for scamming people . IRS only sends you the certified letter for some reason. Like I had one years ago so I did paid them back . It was done . If someone did not pays taxes so the IRS let someone know that needs to be pay . A person don't pays taxes at all or keeps ignoring paying taxes --- then yes IRS sents law enforcement for warrant arrest.
