Caller identified themselves as Bank of America and that they were a "DEBT COLLECTOR" They asked me to verify that I was the person they called and asked me for my SSN. When I asked the caller to verify who they were, what debt they were calling about they refused
1. I do not have any debt to Bank of America
2. I will not give anyone who calls my SSN
3. When I called back with the PH# they provided the person who answered the phone said: I cannot give you any verification and again asked for my SSN
Several calls a day. The one time I actually picked up the phone, a male voice kept saying hello and I hung up on him. Now about an hour later, they called again. Never leave a msg and caller Id shows the number for the name, so it just shows the number twice. Definitely NOT a legitimate company.
Been getting calls from this number for some time. They are calling to "offer assistance" with IRS tax debt relief or student loan debt relief for Terry Hensley. I'm not Terry, I don't know Terry and I've had my UNLISTED number for over 5 years! I've tried ignoring the calls, I've answered the calls out if annoyance, and I've returned missed calls.
I just spoke to Michelle, who says she'll be sure to remove my number from the list. *eye roll* She also stated that it takes 30 days, THIRTY DAYS?, to be completely removed from their Do Call list! I asked why it takes so long....surprise, surprise, she doesn't know. Her advice is not to answer the calls and don't return the calls, as this AUTOMATICALLY places your number on the Do Call list! WTF? I asked if that was legal, to which, again, she doesn't know!
