I did it and it is definitely a scam they got me I sent them 250 and they said they was going to send me $9,951 then called back and said I needed to pay them $500 for government fees and then they would send me my money I am beyond upset and I don't think this is right I told him I was going to report them but I don't know who I can contact Intel them about this
I just got a similar call. The guy on the phone with a heavy accent congratulated me for winning a Govt grant (hmm i never applied for a govt grant) in the amount of $9000.00+., gave me an approval id and then asked me to call 206-400-6990 to speak with hes supervisor who will release the money right away when i give him the approval id number. Sounded suspicious to me and smelled like a scam. Glad I checked on it. The shocking part is he had all the info about my address, email address, phone number, etc.
Yesterday morning i got a called from 100-000-0000 a women with a heavy accent she told me i was chosen out of 1700 people for a grant of 9,200 & all i had to do is called 206-400-6990 &give them my id # she was going to give to me. It sounded like a scam to me, but i called aways to see. When i did called a men answered with a heavy accent i gave him the id# the lady gave me &he said congratulation you had won 9,000 frm governments grant. He told me that i had to go to a western union &send them 310 for safe id that its me &10-15 you will get 9000 & ur 310 back. I told him that this is a scam &i will report it to the police he argue saying no, its all real. He told me to wait i did when i sayed hello a women answer i asked her for her name it was the same women who called me first i got mad &told her why she gave me a different number to called if they were together she didnt say anything & hang up scary part is they had all my info only name, address, &phone#... PLEASE BE CAREFUL THIS A SCAM
