They're just frauds. Probably Indians. Ignore them. They have the social status of Crotch-Crickets & Bed-Bugs. But of course, they're far less dangerous. They're nothing more than pests. If they continue to bother you, post here. We can walk you through the legalities explaining why your caller is simply a virulent piece of scum.

Ignore 'em. They are scammer/extortionists most likely located in India. They like to pick on single women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community.
Don't let them bother you. Block their calls. Do not talk to them, do not give them any information. They are basically criminals trying to get money and information out of you by using threats. The threats are meaningless. Debt is a civil matter. No jail, no arrests, no warrants. They just throw those terms out to frighten people
A guy called saying his name is Jason Cooper attorney id 181956. He stated I took out a payday loan with advance america in Nov 2013 and never paid it. I called Advance America they do not have me in their system at all. I never took out a loan but wanted to make sure I wasnt a victim of identity theft. DO NOT give them any infromation they are scammers. They had the last four of my SS# so pretty scary that they did but they are definetly not actual debt collectors. I have turned them in but wanted to make sure I added this in case anybody got a call from them.
