We just received the same call. First question from caller: Are you located at: _________(our address), I answered yes out of instinct. Second question: Is ______still the owner? SO I asked "who is this?" young man answered "Alex". I asked where he was calling from: "Chamber of Commerce". I asked "which chamber of commerce?" (we are not members) He replied "The American Chamber of Commerce." I said; "Alex; we are not members of your organization --" and he hung up.
Patrick, she is NOT calling you for any valid reason. Saying she's with the chamber of commerce (or something similar) is a flat out lie. She's just the first in a line of many which will try the same thing. The real chamber of commerce does NOT actively call people like this.
