I got a call today from this number.  They said they were with McGraw Hill and wanted us to purchase the 2008 edition of the Architectural Sweets catalog.  The company I work for is an architectural firm, and the Sweets catalog is an extensive list of products that cover every aspect of building.  We have the 2007 edition and aren't in need of 2008.  I tried to tell the woman from McGraw Hill this, and she kept talking over me (which I loathe).

I just called the phone number directly from my caller ID and just asked them to remove me from their system.  I was told it would be removed in 24 hours.  I hope so

Received this call, answered and a woman's voice said 'hello', but I hung up because there was a little silence, first.  Felt bad about it, considered calling back, but instead I googled the # and wow, is this fascinating, this is a link to a Seattle weekly paper (you know it: The Stranger!) and I guess it's something political, ostensibly Obama, but misleading and therefore probably actually on behalf of McCain or Clinton as of February 2008.  My guess is it's just a political prostitute mercenary company, eager for cash: http://slog.thestranger.com/2008/02/more_dirty_tricks_robocall_on_behalf_of

I received a phone call stating that they are looking for someone named "Nona" and when I responded that we do not have a person by that name that lives here, the caller (female voice) hanged up.  This caller did not leave any message of who she is.  It is annoying.  Please block this number off of my phone!
