I answered a call from 1-800-969-3588, wasn't doing anything at the time, and they had called many times before. Man with very strong accent saying he was from the United States Federal Grant Dept, and I qualified for a $9000 tax-free grant because I'm an awesome person, basically. Knew my name and my address. Told me to call 1-206-456-2781 and give them a specific code, so I called for [***] and giggles. The new people told me that to release funds across state lines, I had to go to Walmart and get a $250 gift card. I hung up at this point.
