constantly receive calls from 206 456-0661 telemarketing saying they are PC windows approved provider and there is a serious virus threat in my computer etc. etc. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Donot give them andy access to your computer,
Received this call from "private name" several times. This must be a new scam, as more and more "private" numbers are coming in as well as local neighborhood numbers either trying to sell me something, give me something I have "won", or reduce my credit card debt, of which I have none. Does the Do Not Call List mean nothing? Are they all exempt? Will the FCC actually do anything? So frustrating.
Anyone can enter any number he wants to appear on your caller ID! THIS is what must be made illegal. One incredibly stupid idiot called me and used MY number!
I just got the same thing. this # second and a "local" number first. no message, of course. on my cell. i have both blocked on the DO NOT CALL registry. I never answer my phone anymore unless i know who it is because once you do, then they call you all hours of the day and night because they think you are a "live one". I am sure they are not in this country so not worth the bother of reporting. Just sucks that i can't answer my phone b/c of scammers..........
I, too, am getting more unsolicited, telemarketing calls now more than ever before. I am also on the Do Not Call Registry. I was taking the time to report every number as a complaint on that Registry, but to no avail.
I just reported one to the FTC, and I'm going to start doing that now instead. Maybe THEY can do something! I keep thinking about people who are not smart enough to know to hang up and/or not give out any private information to these jerks. They're the ones who will suffer; we just have to ignore the ringing.
