The person who called said he was calling from the disabled veterans organization. He said he could talk to me or my husband. But he sounded like a recording, so I asked if he was, and he said no and kept talking. When my husband got on the phone, he hung up. Weird.
Got a call from this number on my cell today. I usually don't answer unknown numbers, but I have a very sick friend in the hospital in a near by area code, whom I had been texting with, and thought maybe it was her, so I answered it. Some man asked for me. I just said 'who is this please?" Then he said 'Is this Cheryl?' Again, I asked who it was, and then he hung up. I've got Trucaller, and blocked the call. If your cell is like mine, and doesn't have a built in blocker, Trucaller is great. Free and very un-intrusive on the ads.
I just got a call from this number as well and it sounded very much like a recording to me, but it was answering questions in a strange manner. When I told them I was a disabled veteran and I am already supporting myself they promptly told me to have a nice day and hung up. This [***] got me all fired up and im sure its a filthy scam.
