Just got a call from this number, i answered and it was a robot sounding like an actual person. Caller asked if Ryan was available. I said "sorry you have the wrong number." there was no response, just dead air from there. I hung up. Whatever you do, do NOT say YES to anyone asking you questions from a number you don't recognize. There is a scam going around, they will even go as far as saying "can you hear me?" just to make you say "yes." then you will get a big fat bill out of no where from these scammers. It's in the news, look it up.
Spoke with a real person, said they obtained my number from a caller list they purchased. Claimed to be from Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, asked for a donation, said they would follow up by mail.
I decided to answer the call because I was waiting to hear back from an employer after an interview. Caller was an older woman, asked to speak to the head of the household. Went on about collecting donations for Breast Cancer Awareness - offering donors there packages, $50 Gold, $30 Silver, $20 Bronze. I decided on Bronze (was really just trying to end the call). She said an envelope would be mailed requesting said amount. She then kept repeating the question and asking if I was 100% sure about my decision (who does that?). She then asked me to stay on the line in order to finalize everything with quality assurance. I hung up as soon as she put me on hold. Tried to ask for more specifics about the organization and how they even got my number, but she wouldn't let me get a word in. Do not answer!
