Same as the above reports. A sickly-sounding man with a thick Indian accent told me an arrest warrant was issued for me (though, of course, my name wasn't mentioned), that I was under investigation or something, and that I must call that number back immediately. It was a prerecorded message.
I feel bad for the people who will inevitably fall for this scam.
Recived a call from 206-472-6006 they informed me that there will be a warrant issued on me if I do get in contact with them. They said they are with the IRS. The ID on phone shows
states they are the federal government, do not speak English, threatening and saying "you're in big trouble" but will hang up on you or pick up and hang up when you try to call back
Called about 5-10 minutes ago. Guy actually spoke like English was his native language, albeit with a little accent. Said I was under investigation, and had to call back as soon as possible. Called back and the first time no answer, just got hung up on after 5 minutes on hold. Called back again, and when the person answered he asked how we got that number, and said not to call again, that we were harassing him . They don't even follow through with this scam. This is one of the most pathetic ones I've heard of so far
I rejected the call, the message left was halfway cut off, from some guy saying that there was a case against me and that he was calling regarding my case and that he needed me to call back TODAY.
