I have been getting calls from this number for a week now. Out of curiousity I answered this time. A girl with a thick accent told me the gov't wants to give $9,000 grant money! Why? Because I pay my bills and my taxes on time and haven't filed bankruptcy in the last 6 months. I told her the gov't doesn't just give away money, I told her this sounds like a scam. She tried to convince me it's not a scam... then she hung up.
I answered the phone and a woman said that I was receiving grant money from the government. I laughed and asked to be taken off there call list because I wasn't interested. After that I blocked this number and for some reason I am still getting calls from this number and other strange and incomplete numbers. I don't understand how I can't block these number.
Got two calls today, answering the second. Man with accent says he was with the US treasury Department calling for verification ~ I asked him for a number to return a call when it was more convenient for me and he hung up on me.
