Interesting. I got a call asking questions about the upcoming Board if Education election in Douglas County Colorado. I pressed buttons indicating that I would vote not for current Board or neccessary for "union backed" candidates but that it would depend on the candidate. The first selection involved Benevento vs. Hodges. I selected Hodges and it hung up on me. Guess they weren't interested in the truth.
It's some spam call from a security alarm company. I pressed one to speak with someone and told the guy that answered to get a life and a real job and he became really irrate with me and told me to quit wasting his time! LOL

I received call as well. I'm voting Benevento, Geddes, Reynolds and Silverthorn for DC School board.
I'm hoping the voucher program will go through so I can get my child in a private school.
The teacher's union doesn't want or support vouchers, but it would help everyone.
Most importantly it would help my child, then it would help the district because they get to keep 1/4 of the student tax base ($1,500 of $6000), and it would improve competition so all student's would benefit.
Competition worked in the phone industry and it will work in DC education, but the union seems to be more interested in power than students.
Statistics show that for DC education is good for students, teachers and parents.
