12 Dec, Monday, 11:40(am) : phone rings ;
I answer "Hello?" ;
silence ;
another "Hello?!" ;
continued silence ;
I wait ;
and eventually the line is disconnected, getting a standard beep-beep-beep-...
tone which is given if you leave an unconnected phone off the hook.
(I have no answering machine : was that what the caller had hoped to get?)
206-496-0262 - makes unwanted calls and states on message "last chance for you to get lower rates on credit cards. I finally decided to answer one of the calls and listen to the hype and it did not offer chance to punch a number and be removed from call list. It did say punch 1 to talk to a credit assistant, so I did and immediately I said "take me off your list" before someone could hang up as they often do. Not this gal, she raised her voice and said if I punched the one button then that means I called them. So not only are they making unwanted calls to numbers on a no call list, that is deceptive to claim by trying to get them to take you off their list "you have called them". And she had a loud rude voice.
