Don't you know? ... "Political Surveys" are exempt from the DNC list!
ANYONE can call your number by just saying they want you to answer a few of their survey questions first. THEN they ask for your credit card numbers and any other information they can con you into giving them.
They'd better stop keep calling me at 7:15 am. Getting really fed up with them. Government need to step in and really crack down on these scam artists!
Got a call from these guys (206-496-0484) on the cell phone I use for work; didn't pick up and no one left a message. No more than 10 minutes later, the SAME number calls my personal cell phone! These people are relentless!
Today I received a call from 206-496-0484 (SKIP TEL) on my home phone and my cell phone, too. This must mean that someone has sold our information. This is the second time this has happened. I really burns me up that you can't trust people with your information, and it scares me that this is more than just a robo caller dialing random numbers.
I also got the call. My take is that this is just a computer making robot calls.
If you are not going to cooperate, then they WANT you to hang up because they pay by the second, and they want to call the next number on the list.
The worst thing you can do to them is not cooperate, AND NOT to hang up. That way they don't get any useful response, AND they don't get to move on to the next number for as long as you can drag out their call.
My response to all robot calls is just to lay the receiver down, or stuff it into the chair cushions, until I hear the phone company's beep, beep, beep, telling me the other party has disconnected.
