Received call about lowering credit, blah blah blah.
Anyone know how to track down phone number to get an address? Perhaps find a way to return the favor?
I have told these idiots three times to remove our number, yet they keep calling. Just blocked their number. Oh - I have also filed three complaints with the federal do not call website - you can see how effective THAT was.
Today we received four calls from four differant numbers all claiming to want to lower the interest rate on our credit cards. I didn't answer but they left messages. I didn't try to call back since I know its not legit. We are on the DNCL but that certainly isn't working! I am totally disgusted with these callers and hate to even hear the phone ringing these days! Something has to be done about these calls!!!
I believe this is a scam to get credit card info from you. When you give them your card info the will go on line while you are still on the phone with them and charge a bunch of bills to you. Happened to a friend of mine. She was just lucky that the bank called her while they were still on the phone and told her they were trying to get money from or charge bills to her account. She had call waiting so she clicked over and took the bank call. Then she clicked back and told them to go pound sand. Never give out card info over the phone. Their phone number comes up on caller ID but no company name. Why would a honorable company Not want their name to be known? Think about it.
