"Robert, Google placement specialist."  He's surely friends with "Amy, Google placement specialist" and
"Bill Johnson, Google placement specialist."

I hope karma will find these scumbags and have telemarketers call them all hours of the day and night, every day of their miserable lives.

Evenually they will run out of phone numbers to spoof as their caller ID, just not likely in my lifetime.

I wonder if there are Google placement listings in Hell?!

This caller identified himself as a Google rep.... when I pressed one to talk to a rep, the key didn't activate anything. When I called this number back, it pretended to be an assistance line for paying back taxes to the IRS.

you are exactly right - nothing but boiler room scammers . .
best thing we can do is take a few minutes and inform the stupid
amung us  . .do not get scammed by this company-do not Press 1
to be taken off their list.that will only make it freaking worse.

try contacting the orange county CA, district attorney. this crime
is taking place in their county  . .  and this is criminal.

I answer the phone and hear a recording about a "google ad placement specialist", and that it is important that they speak with me today. Of course, I know this is a telemarketer or scam of some sort, but I hit one anyway. This is my 5th telemarketer/scam call today.

So..after I press 1 to talk to a representative.

Caller: This is "unidentifiable", who am I speaking with?
Me: Well, you called me.
Caller: I don't know your name, Maam.
Me: Well, shouldn't you know the name of the person you are calling? I don't normally call people unless I know who I need to talk to.
Caller: Ok...I'm hanging up now Maam.
Me: Good idea.
Caller: you're ridiculous (an other ramblings I could not understand)

Yeah. I can just visualize the guy sitting on the sofa with a bag of Cheetos, waiting for his automated computer to get a hit. Who is ridiculous?
