Got a call from this number. I am on the non call list and still get called. Usually from the States or a magic Jack or something. I don't know who it is because I ignore these calls and I refuse to pick up for wasted calls from people I don't know.
I have been told by my phone company in Canada that lots of these numbers cannot be blocked even with call block because they come sometimes from computers as well. I get furious when the calls I am getting are from the States calling me in Canada when I am on the Canadian no call list and yet we can't list on the US no call ist
I got a call that sounded like an automated political survey, but then afterwards a very obnoxious man tried to sell me a "free" cruise. He said he was with Royal Carribean Cruise lines. He also said, "We are a travel agency too."
He said all I had to do was pay the port fees of $59.00/person and I could use the cruise within 18 months. He said they launch out of Palm Beach Fla.
I tried to pin him down a bit and he got very surly with me.
I noticed there was alot of noise in the background, like he was talking from a bar.
I'm sure this is a scam.
He asked me for my email, and tried to pressure me, and I hung up.
I plan to report this as I'm sure it is a scam.
