That I have been selected to receive $9,000.00 in a federal grant and that I must pay through money gram $256.00

It is ILLEGAL to have to pay for a grant (that does NOT exist), prizes, or loans.

Got a call from a Washington,DC phone number that states I won Federal Grant money and I had to call this number back to get it from the Accountant Officer.  I could give them my checking account, savings account or a credit card.  OR I could get it through a money gram but I would have to pay for that.  I knew it was a scam as soon as they said that.  Suspected it before then.

Did you get the money or it was not true

Why are they calling people trying to get money out of them so sad
