SCAM - Received voicemail from automated system stating to call back before my case was referred to legal counsel. Called back & Caller said they are with IRS, had no case # wanted name to look up file. Couldn't search by the number they called me at. Inquired on why I haven't received an official notice in writing from the IRS he said my address was incorrect and the mail came back so they assumed I was running from the situation. I asked how much was showing owed and he said $3,974 was unpaid. I told him I wasn't going to provide any information and this was a scam and I've received a refund the past 10 years. He said he was turning me over and to expect a knock at the door because they will put me in handcuffs. Seriously?
This is a scam. They claim to be calling about a law suit from the IRS saying they are suing because I owe back taxes and if I don't pay they will have me arrested. I'm still waiting for the cops.
