This is a telemarketer using an autodial device. A computer is dialing the number in the hope that it will connect. I have been called twice in the last few minutes on my cell phone and picked up to "dead air." It is against the law to use an autodialer and have no one on the other end of the phone call. I called back and there is a message that they will call again in 24 hours. It is either a scam or the entity responsible for the call is violating the Maryland Telemarketing Law. I will be submitting a complaint online to the Maryland Attorney General
This is Energy Solutions Network - www.energysolutionsnetwork.net. I got an email from them as a result of posting my resume on-line, as I am looking for a new contract or full time employment. I didn't answer when I saw the call, because of the number of unsolicited calls I have been receiving. The caller actually left a voice mail, stated his name, and referenced the name of the person who contacted me by email. They appear to be a kind of business that finds consultants for short term consulting contracts around the country. Their email says you can work as much or as little as you want. I have worked for a similar business before, made more money than I had before - or since, but was a road warrior 365 days/year, which is too hard on anyone who is married, has children at home, has animals to feed, and owns a house. All expenses were paid regardless of where I was sent. The Energy Solutions email states that they have a 21 minute video to watch, and if I am interested after watching the video, to contact them. I have not followed up, so cannot tell you if this "business" is legitimate. I do know that if it is a real company and their actual employee base is less than 500, they don't have the capital or resources to keep you employed full time with short term contracts - there's too much competition out there.
