Just got a call from this number. I didn't answer and they left no message. Less than 30 minutes prior I got a call from an 817 area code that is identified on this site as a cruise scam telemarketer. Related?
Recorded message said they were Consumer Credit calling about my current credit card....the thing is I don't have any credit cards so I hung up!! Don't waste your time with these scammers!!
Called my number, which is on the DNC, but left no message. By default, they are scammers. Called them back, got fake fast busy, then recording about number no longer being in service. About the fifth call, phone was answered with only a series of 3 beeps each. Sixth call a different "out of service" message, then a minute of silence, then fast busy. Subsequent calls answered with various recording of number out of service.All BS. If many would call the number repeatedly, using *67 prefix, it would help tie up their available lines. Seems like Anonymous, whose members purport to be helping society, would have already hacked all these scammers. They could get lots of positive public cred, do society a favor, and have fun doing so.
