I answered this call and a woman said she was "Judy" from "The Heating Cooling Company Services" claiming that they had serviced our furnace and wanted me to schedule my annual maintenance. The company name was NOT the one we had actually hired for such service within the past year, and I told her that I didn't think we ever did business with her company. I asked her what her records show, and she claimed that they had cleaned our ducts and did a tune-up on our furnace in March 2012 (three years ago--so much for "annual" service!). She had randomly picked what was a particularly busy and hectic month for us that I vividly remember--and can swear with absolute certainty that duct cleaning was NOT something that was squeezed into our schedule that month! Knowing that she was a scammer, I tried to get more information from her and got something to write with. Asked her name, and she said only "Judy". I asked her last name and she said "Lee". Then she said "Lee" is her first name, and "Judy" is her last name. I asked her phone number and she said 206-379-1124, which is different from the number we have from caller ID. Asked for the company name and she said "The Heating Cooling Company Services". When I asked if there was a comma or some other punctuation in the name, she hung up. I'm sorry I couldn't get any additional information to have her possibly tracked down and thrown in jail.
I received two calls from 206-546-8790. I didn't answer the first time and they didn't leave a message. I answered the second time to about three seconds of silence then a chime and a female voice saying goodbye.
