Just got a call on 7/28/16 , tried to return it number no longer in service. Thought something was up. If it is business and you need a lawyer , must of the time you have been notified by mail. Also they did not ask for anyone by name.
i had some fun with this one. Typical B.S. IRS scam. Received a voice message that there is a class action suit against me and my case number is CH76295. If you are reading this, I'm sure that my case number looks familiar. I called the number back using *67 so that my # would come up as private/unknown. Much to my surprise(sarcasm), a man with an Indian accent answered. I let this mutt go on with his whole spiel...about 10 minutes or so. It was very involved, filled with many options like getting a criminal lawyer or settling out of court to avoid being arrested by local police(which he said would occur in less than 30 minutes). While this is amusing and ridiculous to me, some of our older citizens are falling for this crap. He was just about to transfer me to a paying agent, when I ripped into him with a few choice words which I will not repeat here. I ended the call by shouting "Stop calling America"!!! It was at least a little bit satisfying to waste some of this piece of sh#t's time. Same old same old applies...never give out personal information over the phone.
Indian Scam Call - Automated robotic message about time sensitive, either I or my attorney should call, and if I don't call "the situation will totally unfold on me".
