Did you apply for a grant? For what purpose? The US government does not call people and offer them money for no reason.
The person who called you is a scammer, a thief. He will ask you to give him your bank account or credit card number so he can put money in your account. He will not put money in your account. He will take all of your money out of the account.
I have asked the moderator to delete your second post, the one with your phone number. Thieves and scammers use web-crawler programs to find phone numbers of people they can scam. I don't want you to get more scam phone calls.

I received a call from an unknown number saying that I was selected by the United States Government Grants program to receive a grant for personal usage. The selection process pulled over 7,000 selected individuals to receive the special grant. I would need to go to the nearest wire transfer or money gram institution to collect the monies, But first I would need to confirm the notification by calling the number 206-596-0737 to clear it with his manager. What kind of mess is this....I never called the number to find out.
