I have been in communication with a person calling himself James Weaver that has made an inquiry off my add on Craigslist wanting to purchase my car. I am in the process of maintaining the line of communication in order to see if this person is legitimate or not. I have requested copies of his driver's license and a copy of a vehicle registration that is currently in his name as well as the name of the bank that he will be using to send the funds from.
If this progresses, I will have the instrument of fund transfer made out to myself and (in this case) the funding company that holds the title. Once the funds have satisfactorily cleared, I will then instruct the funding company to send the title to the seller. If I did not have a lien, I would use a local escrow agent to accomplish the same thing.
Well, I have just done a search on that number, according to whitepages.com that is an unlisted number assigned to a land line that is in the Seattle, WA area. This raises a red flag as Mr. Weaver told me that this was his Cell phone number.\
I received an email reguarding my english bulldog puppy ads. He has given this number 206-600-1713. He wants to send me a check. He made me an offer for 4000 for 2 puppies but never has called me. He gave me an address of 917 Stephenson, Shreveport LA 71104.He is going by the name Larry Fesa. He is asking for my address to send the funds. He got to be a scam............
