The NSA can track every phone call on the planet, record it, and determine where it came from. But, the government cannot or will not stop these telemarketers from India. Go figure.
We get this same exact message from different numbers all the time. We too are on the DNC lists but it doesn't matter. They have even cloned a person in my town's number to make it look like it was someone locally to get us to answer. I spoke with the FCC about it and they told me not to answer it and if we do, to hang up immediately without saying a word to them. Unfortunately, without doing a wire tap, there is little that can be done, and some cell phones are completely untraceable. None the less, it is aggravating to have these chumps call 5 times a day!
I recieved a call on 3/8/11 from 206-701-0285 which is listed as Washington on caller ID. It was a recording about lowering my credit card interest rate but i only heard the last part of the message saying to dial 9 to see if eligible. When I did it just kept ringing and ringing and ringing, so i redialed the number and it was a non-wroking or disconnected number. I then googled the number and read that it was a scam
