Received call this afternoon claiming they had gotten a report that my computer had been attacked by some malware and wanted me to get on the computer and follow their instructions to clean it up. Sounded like a scam to me to get INTO my computer rather than to help delete malware. Beware of these types of calls. Don't know what their deal is, but it sounded like something that would be targeted to those of us over 65 and not as computer savvy as the next generation.
I have had many calls from 1 206 708 2848. The person on the other end has a difficult time with American language. The caller says I have a virus on my computer. I ask them not to call me anymore. They keep calling as early as 6 A.M.
Spoofed call from a boiler room in India that has forced its employees to watch "wolf of Wall Street " promising riches or in this case - a virus free computer- for a small fee. With big returns in computer performance....... Everyone wants everyone else to have ethics.....
