Said it was IRS....Conn-artists trying to get money....don't fall for it ....call the actual IRS if you are in doubt!

I called back and a guy with a very strong accent gave me his name and badge #. when I asked why I was not receiving a letter from the IRS, he asked my name, gave him my last name, then he wanted the last 4 digits of my ss#. I told him to tell what was on his file, he hung up....BS

Got a call from 206-823-3340 posing as IRS collections. Threatened lawsuit and to extract money from bank. This is a SCAM!!!

Voice mail saying IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. It is a fraud. You would get a letter from IRS. They would never call you.
My friend is a tax account and said this scam is widespread. She feels sorry for the elderly who are calling her upset.

We live in NJ and just got the call today.  It was the same as above. The IRS was filing a lawsuit that would cost me thousands or I could settle now for $2200 (I could use direct withdrawal from my checking account).  I sad to see that people are still falling for this  BLATANT SCAM.
