This is the fake IRS agent scam. They call with all sorts of dire threats then when you call back claim you owe thousands in back taxes and the only way to avoid arrest and jail is to pay them today with an untraceable payment method. That is how they make money with this scam and since they are operating overseas, are very hard to apprehend and prosecute. Report to the real IRS here:
I also got this call today around noon. Threatening imprisonment if we did not respond. I am one of the dumb people who tried to call back to find out what it was about because my husband told me he got a call a few nights ago from Wells Fargo asking 4 me about a overdue payment. I don't have any Acct with Wells Fargo so I was concerned about identity theft. So when I got this message today I thought it might be the same person. The 206 phone # is not a valid one. Could not get through but I wonder what they are getting from this scam??
