The way the scam works, the scammer will tell you that you owe overdue taxes and are about to be arrested. You have to pay those taxes right this second by giving the scammer your bank account or credit card account number.
Its a lie. You don't own overdue taxes. And if you did the IRS would not call you to discuss it.
