These people keep calling saying that I won free grant money from the government for being a good citizen and paying my taxes. I also do not have to pay it back. all I have to do is call them back a Jason Wright @ 206-855-6792 to claim it. a SCAM written all over it. he wouldn't tell me what company he was from but his name was "Michael" he had a accent too.
Hi Carmen, I just a call from that same number, telling the same thing you have written and I give a master card from westernunion, but it isn't activated yet because I have received it yesterday. Hope they don't harrasse me now.
got a phone call today about the 9,000 dollars. ha told me to call steve lee. not going to. they had all my info already. not to happy about that. never asked for credit card. is this a scam? i should call police.
Received a call from them saying I received 9000 dollar grant and made me take an ID number to call back. They had my information. Said she was from the US federal grant department... Heavy accent.
Just received a call saying I was selected by the government to receive $9000 I did not have to pay back and was asked to call 206-855-6792 to speak to the account agent and he would walk me through how to receive this money through western union. After looking the number up and confirming my suspicions I thought I would share this info.
I received the same call. We moved from GA to WA eleven months ago and the caller still had my GA address, so outdated. Was offered the $9000. Called the 206.855.6792 # and was told that I could not receive the grant money unless I paid $200 to have it wired to Western Union. I asked what kind of scam this is and the asian guy got angry. Said he never asked for my bank info., although he was obviously about to. Then he got mad and said then we will not send funds we will cancel. Then said never call this number again deal is canceled. Its some kind of scam. Not sure how they are able to call mobile numbers when telemarketers are supposed to be blocked. Anyway, don't fall for it!
