I got a call from a Shawn first who told me to call Amber at the 206 number and she said I didn't have to pay anything to get it. It was a grant for $10,200 for being in a low income tax bracket. I googled the number that originally called me and it matched the correct number for the federal reserve bank in DC...
I rec'd a call from a Gov't Grant Co. saying that i'm being rewarded $7,000 which it was the second call being that the first time I asked questions trying to verify who these people were and they hung up on me. So after time pasted i rec'd a present call I listened to what sound good to me, but the funny thing was how the first person i talked to didn't give me her name yet referred to another number to call and when I did so to me it was the same person's voice now with a name of MICHELLE SMITH what foreigner with heavy accent has American name. Furthermore I listened and what became suspicious was when it came time to have the money sent or received I had to open a transfer/wire line at western union for $190.00 and she said I couldn't get the money in a check only by bank account or in cash but i had to set it up at western union for the $190. It was just too good to be true after I talked with my mom and a couple other close people bout wat they think and they were like it was just no way you would have to send someone anything for them to send you something if you have something for me send it and i'll receive it. SCAM!!!!!
I recieved a call from a women named Jennifer and she was associated with a Government Grant Co. telling me that I have been selected for a 7,000$ grant from the Federal Government. The only thing was that they said I had to send 190$ Western Union, and to ensure it was not a scam they would stay on the phone through the whole process, then in turn they said that they would send the 190 back along with the 7,000. Let's think about this there is a limit on how much you can send Western Union at a time, plus I have never heard of the Federal Government handing out 7,000$ to anyone just because they are stand up citizens, let alone thousands of people. ALWAYS REMEMBER NOTHING IS FREE!!!!!
I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Federal Government. This person told me that because I have paid my taxes on time for so many years, that I was being awarded a $7,000 grant. This person also told me to call another number and ask to speak with a Miss. Michelle.
I contacted my daughter, who works as a research analyst and she back traced the call, and told me that the call was in fact a scam.
I got the same thing as Randy but I was told to speak with Amber Dickson. The number is 206-866-5297. Mine was because I had a decease parent. I almost believed because I do have a decease parent.
