add me to the list--received call from Steve Martin with accent--same threat--magistrate, court, he wants to help, etc. etc. At least this guy could have been creative and used as his introduction "Hi Donald Trump calling"!
Received 4 calls from this number today within an hour (Washington) and didn't answer. Second time left VM saying the same thing as others have said about criminal offense. Name was "Steve Martin" and narrated with an accent.
Phone Rings. I am instructed by canned voice with accent to call 'Steve Martin'@206-900-9174 re; "Criminal offense".
Called back."Steve Martin"said he is a U.S. Federal Marshal with a warrant for my arrest, something about 2012 Taxes.
So I told him I had to call my husband. He said, "If you attempt to involve your husband with this we will have no choice but to arrest you both, freeze your bank accounts, and put liens on your house if you own one." He mentioned somthing about "Jail from one to five years behind the bars". I told him to Go Ahead, Arrest us both because we're both gonna be involved with it Anyway!" and hung up on him, Also talked to his "supervisor,"Kevin Peterson" sounding rather notoriously like the same Steven Martin. Gee, i was supposed to be "arrested" 45 mins. ago. So I called him back, told him he is a phony and a jerk, shame on him for frauding folks and HE will be the one going to jail.
Got a second call from "Steve Martin" @ 206-900-9174. The message instructed me to call because of some "legal" troubles.
I called back and it sounded like a phone bank, with many operators in the background.
I asked "Steve" to put me on his "Do Not Call List" and he asked why because he was just trying to help me and before he could say anymore I told him I knew this was a scam and I told him once again to put me on the DNCL. At that point he just started cursing at me, continuously. I interrupted him and asked why is he cursing at me if he's just trying to help me?
I ended the call by identifying his name, the current time and the current date and that he is to never call me again.
