Called my mother today staying she owed 5k in back taxes from 2011. They told her if she didn't pay today, the police would arrest her and she would be imprisoned for 3 years.

Same experience. I feel better that 206-900-9214 called somebody else and I CAN ignore it. If there was a government agency that had a problem with us, they would send something in the mail...right?
Got a call as well from this number. Same thing exactly. Second attempt to contact me, serious offense with the IRS, help us help you. I'm gonna be honest it did shake me up a bit, and there was no accent that I could hear.. Anyway I do feel better I'm not the only one.
