They called me three times left a message not directing the call to anyone pacific. Said I was being sued by the IRS. Must be why they send me money back lol did not call scam
Here's a way to find out:
A) did they cold-call you (aka call out of the blue)?
B) did they claim you won something but had to pay a fee?
C) did they claim they were with the IRS or some other government entity and that you owed money?
D) anything else that made you feel uncomfortable?
If you answered 'yes' to any of those (or even if you didn't), it's most likely a scammer looking for active numbers
I received a call from that number today. Woman identified herself as IRS agent Terry Wilson badge #8514 and I owe money for taxes before my bank account are frozen and home taken. She sounded middle eastern and seemed to become nervous when I told her I work for the government and was going to verify her identity with the ITS before I gave any personal info. I tried to call the number back numerous times but no one ever answered and no voicemail.
