Yep... same as everyone else... Heavy accent said "Now don't disregard this message and do return the call. If I don't hear from you or attorney either then the legal situation unfolds on you". - scam!
Called from: 206-923-9464. It is a shame that people feel the need to be so dishonest.
This IDIOT keeps calling me several times a day leaving nasty messages claiming he is a law enforcement agency and threatening legal action if I don't return his call. Ugh!
This is a scam. If you receive a phone call from this number or any other, then call the Federal Trade Commission at 577.382.4357. Select 1 for English, 1 to file a complaint, and 3 to speak with a representative. I found out about this by calling Verizon's Illegal Calls department.
Called and left the following message today (I never pick up unknown calls and I have verizons vm to text):
"So I need you or your return attorney to call us back my direct line number is 206-923-9464. I repeat it's 206-923-9464. Now don't disregard this message and do return the call if I don't hear from you or your attorney either then the legal situation unfolds on you. Have a nice day goodbye."
I'll report to the FTC. Hopefully no-one falls for this.
