Scam. They call me on all different numbers. .Today twice when the clock hit 8am. Been in touch with the BBB and the state and both said all these numbers are a scam. Best to not answer them. This will be number 9 of theirs to be blocked from calling my cell.
For the last 48 hours I have received numerous calls from every area code possible, the few that I've picked up don't say anything on the other end and the one's I've called back, say the number is disconnected. I've also received voice mails from people that aren't calling for me, and you can hear in their voices, their from somewhere in the south. It's like these calls are getting directed to my number instead. And sometimes I get voice mails that don't make any sense at all. I haven't yet received a call from an actual person trying to get money from me. But I wont be surprised if I start getting them. Especially this number, I get this caller maybe 10 times a day, back to back every hour.
Same here...I have been getting calls from this number since January 11th!! And just called it back a few minutes ago. It said it's not a working number and to hit 611 for customer service so I did and it hung up on me. I don't get it!! And I haven't received a voice message either. Would really like to figure out who they are so I can tell them to stop calling and add me to do not call list.
This number has been sold to any user willing to pay for it to commit a caller ID spoofing call. Spoofing is done to prevent you from knowing the true identity / number of the real person calling you. You can pay a fee for this service. It is simply called Caller ID Spoofing and in some cases, its a crime to do so, depending on the nature of the call being made to you. Its illegal in the United States.
