Who called from 2069840970

No call, just another email scam - Daryl Rodwell again. He contacted me about my ad on Craigslist. His newest line seems to be that he is on a honeymoon and wants to surprise his bride.

I thought it sounded very fishy, and now after googling his name, I know for sure it's a scam. New email address is rdaryl01@ gmail.com.

Daryl Rodwell just contacted me about an add I had posted on Craigslist.  Same story as I have been reading from he others.  I was selling a washer and dryer.  He was "on his honeymoon in Hawaii" and would send me a check for the asking price plus and additional $50.  Then he sends a note saying his secretary sent me the check for $2,750 and I should wire the remaining  difference in money of $2,500 to his mover via Western Credit Union.  That is when the red flag went off and I googled his name so here we are.  His fake check arrived in my mail today.  The return address was Live Design in Sugarland, TX.  This guy is a real idiot.  As someone mentioned in a previous post, his use of the English language should tip people off.  His check is from Vincennes University and signed by a Richard E. Helton.  Actually his name is printed by hand.  Who the hell prints there name on a check, that is why they call is a signature!  I googled both the university and Richard Helton's name - both appear legit.  Richard Helton is listed as the president of the university.  Somebody needs to nail this clown.  I'm not out any money but feel fortunate to realize what was going on before it was too late.

I got the exact same thing including the check from the university, My stepfatherin law works for new york state attorney generals office and I have him looking into what we can do I think we all should get together and nail this guy

SELLER BEWARE:  I was contacted by "Daryl Rodwell" as well and I believe he is also using this name and email address...

Dr Gerard J Ametantiametan, [email protected]

Thanks for everyone's posts.

I got an abrupt message from [email protected] in response to a craigslist posting

He said if my product was still available, we "could talk about price and payment".  I thought to myself, "what's to talk about?  payment is cash.  and price is negotiated on the spot."

His tone and approach was very odd.  That prompted me google the email address and I glad i did.
