This number is calling our land line constantly. If i answer it then rings as though I am calling someone. It'll ring a couple of times and sometimes there will be someone on the end and sometimes just a quiet line. We have just started hanging up as soon as we see the number but it is constant. We have checked our bill and as yet there is nothing showing? Any ideas what these scam callers get from m,aking these calls and how I go about stopping them?

I too have received the same call today from +2071060719. When you answer a dialer starts and someone on the other end asks for a name of someone I have never heard of. They hang up when I say that they have the wrong number. This is the 2nd time in 2 days so I will be screening calls from the number from now on. This is very annoying indeed and I intend to report it to BT if it happens again to see how I go about stopping these scam callers. Any ideas?
I recently filled out an application form for a payday loan and like all loan companies they sold my details on to other firms who started calling me. I have been receiving calls from +2071060719 asking me if I want to borrow £400.00 and that I need to give them £59.95 upfront. As soon as I tell them I am not interested or to fXXk off they hang up. It seems like a bunch of scam artists.
In relation to the above messages, if you contact BT they will monitor calls to your landline and if need be, forward information on to the Police for investigations. This can be done using HARP Technology, a new form of technology used to trace caller identities and their whereabouts. It can also prevent use of the phone they are calling from, making it totally useless for calling or texting.
